The Truth Is F#cking Out There, Man!!

July 25th we get a little Mulder and Scully love when X-Files 2 (working title) hits theaters with all of it’s spooky goodness. Script details are impossible to come by but creator Chris Carter says that this one is staying away from the alien conspiracy storyline and will deal more with something monstrous. Whatever and however, I’m on board! I didn’t miss an episode of this series (even in the suck-ass last season) and I’m sure not going to miss this flick. Here’s the teaser poster…

Marvel Comics: New Avengers #39

Writer Brian Michael Bendis had a shaky few months there on this title and I’m not sure why since he’s been on it since issue 1 but the last issue was good and this one is awesome.

Wayback Wednesday: Can We Talk

Earlier this week I posted a video about a honest R&B song. I wanted to use a picture of an obscure, former R&B artist for the preview pic and little Tevin was the first one to come to mind. But after an exhaustive search (two minutes on google images) to find an adequate photo of him, I conceded defeat but not before I said to myself that I could always use him as this week’s WW.

Me again, long time no hear from I know but I have had my hands full with other things you know?
Watchmen, the eagerly anticipated film by director Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, 300) based on the acclaimed comic by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, is due in theaters on March 6, 2009. But there is a lot of controversy surrounding the film.
Writer Mark Millar and artist John Romita, Jr. just keep the "kick-assery" coming with the fourth issue of this highly entertaining and gloriously violent book.
Captain America #41
Still one of the best Marvel books for your money!
Dude, this f#ckin' rocked! What the prequels should have been.
Okay, I currently have a house full of nieces, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law so this will be short ...
I'm loving this freakin' series and I've never been a big Iron Man fan but writer Matt Fraction and artist Salvador Larocca are delivering the goods. The character is currently dealing with Zachariah Stane, evil son of his rival Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger), who is using Stark tech for terrorist attacks across the world. What makes this series and particularly this issue work is the writer is making Stark into a likable (albeit cocky) character once again. I dig! Grade: A
