I am listening to Steel Pulse. First wave of British reggae.
I am listening to The Stooges. Godfathers of punk. Essential.
I am listening to Amon Amarth. Viking metal.

Marvel: Civil War #7
Iron Man is a douchebag! Marvel’s big mini-series event has finally ended and although I thought this was a good read I was kind of disappointed or I should say saddened by the ending. I don’t want to give to much info about this because any fan of Marvel Comics should pick this series up (I believe a trade paperback is due out soon). There is great action in this issue and as has been through the series, Steve McNiven’s art ROCKS! There is still a lot of books coming out in the following months that tie into this series and this appears to have changed the world of Marvel a great deal as was promised. I’m excited to see what’s coming and hope that some favorite characters can be redeemed. And remember–IRON MAN IS A DOUCHEBAG!!

CpC3: Chili Pepper Chris’s Comic Cave Issue #1
| posted by chilipepperchris on February 23rd, 2007 |

So you know those little books with the pretty pictures and impossible stories about the kids who were nerds and then grew into men with “special” powers and started dating women who look like they just stepped off a runway somewhere with an uncanny knack to need to be “rescued“? No not Playboy, I’m talking about Comic Books (if you wanna talk about Playboy or the like you’d have to visit the NSFW section)

Thursday Prophesies: Love thy Neighbor
| posted by theprophetbruce on February 22nd, 2007 |

Well the Prophet is at it again, check out this true story he found:
A city councilman, Mark Easton, lives in this neighborhood. He had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and built. Apparently, the new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.

Me again, long time no hear from I know but I have had my hands full with other things you know?
Watchmen, the eagerly anticipated film by director Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, 300) based on the acclaimed comic by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, is due in theaters on March 6, 2009. But there is a lot of controversy surrounding the film.
Writer Mark Millar and artist John Romita, Jr. just keep the "kick-assery" coming with the fourth issue of this highly entertaining and gloriously violent book.
Captain America #41
Still one of the best Marvel books for your money!
Dude, this f#ckin' rocked! What the prequels should have been.
Okay, I currently have a house full of nieces, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law so this will be short ...
I'm loving this freakin' series and I've never been a big Iron Man fan but writer Matt Fraction and artist Salvador Larocca are delivering the goods. The character is currently dealing with Zachariah Stane, evil son of his rival Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger), who is using Stark tech for terrorist attacks across the world. What makes this series and particularly this issue work is the writer is making Stark into a likable (albeit cocky) character once again. I dig! Grade: A
